Charging Adapters
If you drive a non-Tesla EV and occasionally need to use a Tesla destination charger — or vice versa — a Lectron J1772 to Tesla charging adapter bridges the gap. Rated for 60 amps, it handles Level 2 speeds without issue. Keep one in the glovebox for road trips when the only available charger uses the wrong connector.
Going the other direction, the Lectron Tesla to J1772 adapter lets Tesla owners share their Wall Connector with visiting non-Tesla EVs. Useful for households adding a second EV that is not a Tesla.
Extension Cords for NEMA 14-50

If your NEMA 14-50 outlet is not close enough to your parking spot, a heavy-duty extension cord rated for 50 amps is the safe solution. The CircleCord 50 Amp 50-Foot Extension Cord uses 6/3+8/1 gauge STW wire with NEMA 14-50 connectors on both ends. ETL listed and built for EV charging and RV use. Do not use a standard household extension cord — they cannot handle 240V at 50 amps and are a fire hazard.
The Chargers Themselves
If you landed on this page before choosing your main charger, here are the three most recommended Level 2 home chargers:
- ChargePoint Home Flex — adjustable 16-50A, Wi-Fi, best app, works with every EV
- Grizzl-E Classic — 40A, no-frills reliability, best for harsh weather and budget installs
- JuiceBox 40 — 40A, Wi-Fi, Energy Star certified, load sharing for multi-EV homes
Any of these three will serve a Pacific Northwest home well. Choose based on whether you value smart features, budget, or cold-weather durability.
